Andrés Leonardo Góngora

Andrés Leonardo Góngora holds a PhD in social anthropology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He is chief curator of the Ethnography Department at the National Museum of Colombia, a professor of anthropology at the National University of Colombia and University of the Andes, a researcher at the Social Conflict and Violence Group at the National University of Colombia, and is affiliated with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and University of São Paulo. He has conducted research and curated exhibitions related to cultural diversity, social movements, medical anthropology, drug policy, and political ecology. His most recent work explores the links between materiality, memory, and conflict in Colombia.
