Anna Paretskaya

Anna Paretskaya is an editor, researcher, and educator. She has a PhD in sociology from the New School for Social Research, with specializations in political, cultural, and comparative-historical sociology and social theory. She’s been a freelance academic editor for the past ten years and is a coeditor of the open-access, bilingual (English and Russian) journal Laboratorium: Russian Review of Social Research. Anna’s scholarship has won awards from several professional associations. She also teaches in the Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. In addition to her career in academia, Anna’s been a reporter, news editor, and press freedom advocate.
