Baidik Bhattacharya

Baidik Bhattacharya is an associate professor at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, Delhi. He is the author of Postcolonial Writing in the Era of World Literature: Texts, Territories, Globalizations (2018) and The Literary Sovereign: Colonial Histories and the Modern Culture of Letters (forthcoming). He is the editor of The Cambridge Companion to World Literature and the British Empire (forthcoming) and coeditor of The Postcolonial Gramsci (2012) and Novel Formation: The Indian Beginnings of a European Form (2018). His essays have appeared in Critical Inquiry, Boundary 2, Novel, New Literary History, Interventions, and Postcolonial Studies, among others.
