Franson Manjali

Franson Manjali retired as a professor of linguistics at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, in 2020. He taught a wide range of courses including on semiotics, philosophies of language, poststructuralism, research methodology, and language and cultural studies, during a career spanning thirty years. He did his PhD in linguistics from JNU and postdoctoral studies at the Sorbonne, Paris. He has coauthored Philosophy, Language and the Political: Poststructuralism in Perspective (2018) and Foucault: Optics and the Folding of Light (2017), among many others. Manjali passed away in June 2023.
