Prathama Banerjee
Prathama Banerjee is a historian at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, Delhi. She works at the intersection of political theory, history of ideas, and literary studies. Her books include Politics of Time: “Primitives” and History-Writing in a Colonial Society (2006) and Elementary Aspects of the Political: Histories from the Global South (2020). She is currently working on a longue-durĂ©e history of political concepts and images in India cutting across precolonial and colonial times. Her other interest is in changing the contours of democracy in our current digital cum viral age.
