Rosi Braidotti

Rosi Braidotti holds Italian and Australian citizenship, received her BA (first class hons.) from the Australian National University in 1978 and a cum laude doctorate in philosophy from the University of Paris, Panthéon-Sorbonne, in 1981. Braidotti has taught at Utrecht University in the Netherlands since 1988, when she was appointed as the founding professor in women’s studies (1988–2005). From 1995 to 2005 she was the founding director of the Netherlands Research School of Women’s Studies. She was the founding director of the Utrecht Centre for the Humanities (2006–2016) and is currently Distinguished University Professor at Utrecht University.
