Badri Narayan
Badri Narayan is a social historian and cultural anthropologist and currently professor at the G. B. Pant Social Science Institute, Allahabad. His research interests range from popular culture to social and anthropological history and Dalit and subaltern issues. He writes in both English and Hindi, and his publications include Women Heroes and Dalit Assertion in North India (2006), Fascinating Hindutva: Saffron Politics and Dalit Mobilisation (2009), The Making of the Dalit Public in North India: Uttar Pradesh 1950–Present (2011), and Fractured Tales: Invisibles in Indian Democracy (2016). His most recent work is Republic of Hindutva: How the Sangh Is Reshaping Indian Democracy (2021).
