Laura Zornosa
Laura Zornosa is currently a culture reporter at Time magazine. Prior to that, she was the culture fellow at the New York Times and a features reporter at the Los Angeles Times. As a Pulitzer Center reporting fellow, she reported on the themes presented in this essay. (She published a separate journalistic article, titled “How Memory Can Help Heal Trauma: From Colombia to Chicago,” in partnership with the Pulitzer Center and Yes! magazine.) Zornosa earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism and international studies from Northwestern University.
