LU Xinyu

Lu Xinyu is a distinguished professor in the School of Communication and dean of the International Communication Research Institute at East China Normal University. Her main research fields are new documentary movement in China, critical communication studies, and media and society. She is the author of many books in Chinese, including Documenting China: The New Documentary Movement (2003), Writing and What It Obscures (2008), and Dislocation: The Narrative of China and Visual Politics in the Post–Cold War Era (2018).
