María Victoria Uribe
María Victoria Uribe is an anthropologist and historian born in Bogotá, Colombia. She has a PhD in history from the National University of Colombia. Uribe served as director of the Colombian Institute of Anthropology and History (INCAH) from 1994 to 2005 and was an associate professor at the Institute for Social and Cultural Studies PENSAR at the Pontifical Javerian University in Bogotá in 2005–7. She was a member of the Historical Memory Group (2007– 11) and held a residential fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Study in Berlin (2014–15). Since 2011 Uribe has been an associate professor in the Department of Jurisprudence at the Del Rosario University in Bogotá and emerita researcher in the National System of Researchers, Colciencias.
