Andrés Menard

Andrés Menard received his PhD in sociology from the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS, Paris). He has taught in the Department of Philosophy at the Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences (Santiago de Chile) and now teaches in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Chile. He primarily researches and publishes on Mapuche history and politics. Chief among his publications are Mapuche y Anglicanos: Vestigios fotográficos de la Misión Araucana de Kepe (1896–1908) (coauthor with Jorge Pavez; 2007) and Diario del Presidente de la Federación Araucana, Manuel Aburto Panguilef (editor; 2013).
