Louise Edwards
Louise Edwards is Editor and Council Member of the Australian Academy of the Humanities and professor emeritus of Chinese history at the University of New South Wales. In addition to being a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, she is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and the Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities. Her most recent books include Women, Politics, and Democracy: Women’s Suffrage in China (2008), Women Warriors and Wartime Spies of China (2016), and Citizens of Beauty: Drawing Democratic Dreams in Republican China (2020).
